In this weeks seminar we were asked to go a floor in the library and make a drawing. In my original drawing I chose the 2nd floor and focused on the main corridor isle going down the middle of the room. I focused my attention to the book isles, the towers of book and hundreds of books and putting that into a drawing. Whilst I was drawing I also noticed a trolley with a sign on it saying ” Overspill books” I took advanted of this poster and exaggerated the trolley by drawing overspilling books from the trolley going along the corridor. We then took our drawing unsigned and placed it on the table. We then swapped the drawings around.

This drawing interested me as the drawing was of the library concept as a whole. With lots of symbolism and basic drawing of items. The drawer has taken focus on the coffee stall to the entrance of the library. Also my attention was brought to the past that it was once a railway too. It shows the google chrome logo perhaps representing technology and internet based research, the kindle- the electronic book. It is showing the library almost like a generator.
When I came to draw this drawing again. I kept the simple stick like drawing style to it. I tried to copy the same idea of the drawing again and aded new symbols in the image, such as the basic outline of ears, eyes, nose, and a thought bubble. I added these as i belive they represent other things going on in this building. I drew arrows to simply show the coveyer like system of people going to the library.
The next task was to add a new item or part to the drawing. I created a pass. With this pass I was challenged to give it to a random person in the main building. He appeared to be a lecturer. I placed it on his table and told him ” Please pass on this pass.” It is the unknown where it ever went.
